A worked example
€12 a month for streaming, €11 a month for music and €60 a year for software total €336 a year. Leaving out streaming reduces the planned total to €192: a calculated difference of €144 per year.
How the calculation works
See the yearly cost of small subscriptions
Each subscription’s payment amount is multiplied by its number of payments per year. Monthly plans count twelve times, weekly plans 52 times and annual plans once. That makes different billing frequencies comparable. The result also highlights the subscription with the largest annual cost.
Compare a what-if scenario
Leave subscriptions out of the planned scenario without deleting them from your original list. The difference is their theoretical annual cost at unchanged prices. It does not account for notice periods, remaining contract terms or refunds of amounts already paid. Check the individual contract to understand when an actual saving could start.
Bring only your chosen plan into Kalvo
The CSV file includes subscriptions with the checkbox enabled. Kalvo imports them as recurring costs, with annual subscriptions treated as reserves. The app can remind you before due dates. Neither this calculator nor Kalvo cancels services or manages your accounts with subscription providers.
Frequently asked questions
Can I mix annual and monthly subscriptions?
Yes. Select the actual billing frequency and enter the amount charged for each payment.
Does unchecking a subscription cancel it?
No. It only changes the comparison scenario and export selection. You must cancel with the provider yourself.
When does the saving take effect?
The annual difference is a calculation. Actual timing depends on the contract term, notice period and amounts already paid.
What happens when I import into Kalvo?
The subscriptions you keep become recurring entries. Add due dates and check the import preview in the app.
