A worked example
€950 rent on the 1st, a €25 phone bill on the 15th and €600 annual insurance on the 20th total €1,575 due in that month. In a later month without the insurance payment, the total is €975.
How the calculation works
Due dates rather than monthly averages
This calendar counts full bill amounts scheduled in your chosen month. Annual insurance appears only in its payment month. Monthly reserve contributions are not counted again as bills here. Use the sinking fund calculator to work out the average reserve contribution separately.
How recurring dates are calculated
The next due date is the starting point. Payments repeat in days, weeks or calendar months, depending on the selected frequency. A monthly bill on the 31st falls on the last day of February, then returns to March 31. The tool does not add payments before the starting date you entered.
Keep your schedule going
The preview is a plan based on your entries, rather than confirmation from your bank. It does not automatically adjust for holidays, banking delays, price changes or actual charges. In Kalvo, you can keep the imported bills on your iPhone and enable local reminders before due dates.
Frequently asked questions
Can I preview a different month?
Yes. Change the preview month. Recurring dates are calculated from the next due date you entered.
Why is an annual bill missing from the preview?
It appears only in its scheduled payment month. Check the frequency, next due date and selected preview month.
What happens to bills due on the 29th, 30th or 31st?
In shorter months, they fall on the last day of the month. The original day is retained for subsequent months.
Does the website send reminders?
