A worked example
€12 a month costs €144 over twelve months. A €120 annual plan costs €24 less and averages €10 a month. After ten monthly payments, both cost the same; from the eleventh, annual billing costs less.
How the calculation works
Compare full payments
The monthly option costs monthly price × number of months. The annual option counts the full annual price, even over a shorter comparison period. No partial refund is assumed. Over six months, the example compares €72 of monthly payments with the full €120 annual payment. This makes the upfront cost visible.
Calculate the cost threshold
Divide the annual price by the monthly price and round up to the next whole payment. This is the number of monthly payments after which annual billing is equal or cheaper. Exact equality at that threshold does not yet mean a saving. If the threshold is above twelve, there is no cost advantage within the year being compared.
Check the price and contract term
Compare equivalent services. Monthly billing can still involve a longer minimum contract term. A cheaper annual price is also due in full on its billing date. We additionally show annual price divided by twelve as a regular planning contribution. Kalvo imports either the full annual bill or the monthly payment, depending on your selection.

Is annual billing always cheaper?
No. It depends on both prices and the comparison period. A lower monthly price or shorter use can cost less.
Why count the full annual price for six months?
The comparison assumes a full annual payment with no refund. This shows the actual upfront payment.
Does monthly billing mean I can cancel monthly?
No. Billing frequency and contract length can differ. Check the contract terms.
